'Doctor Who' full season trailer hints at threats new and old

Doctor Who is returning with a new season in 2020, and now faithful Whovians have a fresh trailer to pore over, freeze frame, and in all other ways pick apart for clues. Not that you have to look very hard. This trailer is chock full.

The coming season marks the twelfth one since the series picked up again in 2005 after a lengthy break. Jodie Whittaker introduced fans to the Thirteenth Doctor – and the first to be portrayed by a woman – in 2018, and she'll be back again in the coming season.
