When cast member Pete Davidson sat down for a Weekend Update segment, claiming the show's spotlight for the first time since his troubling Instagram post in the waning days of 2018, he had a good friend at his side for support: John Mulaney.

The two spend most of the moment speaking at great length about how they thought Clint Eastwood's latest movie, The Mule, is a bizarre and unbelievable journey.
