Today's TVs have amazing picture quality — shout-out to 4K and OLED technologies — but unless you splurge for one that supports Dolby Atmos, most displays built-in sound systems are pretty underwhelming.
That's where soundbars come in. Typically slim and rectangular in their design, these devices contain multiple speakers and connect to your TV to upgrade its audio quality.
You could spend a few thousand dollars on a really, really nice soundbar if that's your prerogative, but at that point, you might as well buy a whole new TV.
