'Project Runway' got awkward after a contestant mentioned the Kushners

Project Runway, a show about designers competing to create innovative looks under challenging circumstances, rarely gets political. But when it does... ooh boy.

During the episode that aired on Thursday night, designers had to pull together an outfit for host Karlie Kloss to wear in Paris out of thrifted materials gathered from Goodwill. The challenge tasked contestants to design a look that's "super cool," "wearable," and "chic." 

Contestant Tyler Neasloney's conservative white blouse and black skirt ensemble didn't hit the mark for judge Brandon Maxwell, who said, "I cannot see Karlie wearing it anywhere, honestly." Read more...
